Lighting
Product News Published: 16 January 2008
Modeling plugins for use with VectorWorks Spotlight 2008 on the
Mac
OSX operating system are now available from ESP Vision. As the 3D
community continues to demand the highest level of product functionality,
ESP Vision maintains its commitment to providing integration with
the complete offerings of VectorWorks.
Vectorworks is the only modeling program that currently is available
on both the PC and the Mac environments. As many lighting designers
use the Mac line of computers, Vision plugins were developed to
allow the creation of Vision data files using Vectorworks Spotlight
2008 running on the Mac.
“While ESP Vision continues to run strictly in the PC environment,
the added flexibility for users to draft in VW 2008 on the Macintosh,
creating Vision-ready files extends the flexibility available to
lighting designers worldwide to choose the drafting package of their
choosing,” says Vision Director of Support, Alan Jesse.
"These plug-ins reinforce our commitment to our community
of Macintosh VectorWorks Spotlight users who use ESP Vision for
their pre-visualization needs," says Jeremy Powell, Spotlight
marketing manager with Nemetschek North America. "We have been
working closely with ESP Vision through several product cycles to
provide all of our users with a continually improving, end-to-end
design, visualization, and simulation package, and we're pleased
to be able to extend ESP Vision's reach to our VectorWorks 2008
Mac users."
