Martin heads to LDI in Las Vegas with an array of exciting, new products including a media server that elevates and expands the creative use of digital lighting, and a flexible wing extension for the popular Maxxyz lighting console. Martin continues to serve the club/DJ market with new Mania series lights - new flower effects, a new promotional projector and the first scanner in the Mania series. A new portable yet powerful smoke machine will also be on display. A number of other lighting tools and updates – and a few special surprises – can also be found at the Martin booth (#850, #855 and #1256).

Maxedia Digital Media Composer: Martin invites you to experience a new level of digital lighting creativity with the new Maxedia Digital Media Composer. Maxedia, which includes integrated DMX control, provides full control of both lighting and video elements. Maxedia boasts a number of advantages over other digital media servers including up to a maximum of 20 layers simultaneously; 3D effects with unique real-time manipulation; programming and playback without the use of a DMX lighting console; the use of no more than 25 DMX channels, and more! And if these don’t convince users, a price comparison should.

Maxxyz Playback Wing: The new Maxxyz Playback Wing is the first module in a new Wing System that expands the console’s functionality and gives users the ability to customize and add more direct access. The adaptable Wing expands the direct playback access of Maxxyz by three times and allows the Maxxyz operator to navigate through a show with even greater speed. The Wing System’s freely configurable design consists of two Playback Modules in one frame, allowing the possibility to create a Wing by incorporating any two modules, the ultimate customized solution.

Ether2DMX: The Martin Ether2DMX allows users to increase the number of Maxxyz DMX universes and/or easily place DMX universes remotely on any TCP/IP Ethernet network. Each Ether2DMX box extends the number of universes by four. By using the Ether2DMX your DMX universes can be placed at a remote location, connected to the Maxxyz by a single Ethernet line (RJ45). It can also be used as an output device for the upcoming Maxxyz PC or as an input device for the Martin ShowDesigner (MSD). It can also interface with any third party product that can interface with Artnet.

Ethernet Switch: Ideal for anywhere Maxxyz is used, the Martin Ethernet Switch expands the networking and operable distance parameters of the Maxxyz lighting console. The Ethernet Switch is designed to allow full logistic capability of large lighting control systems that contain multiple control consoles and increased numbers of DMX universes. Using its internal signal buffer, the Ethernet Switch permits users to expand the communication distance beyond conventional 100-meter cable constraints.

Martin ShowDesigner Gold and Silver: Martin ShowDesigner (MSD) now comes in two versions, a full Gold version with new features such as Fast Net-Render and Live Video feed in real-time 3D Visualizer; and a streamlined Silver version with all the critical components of the Gold version yet customized for those who do not need the full package of options yet still want to take advantage of the latest in lighting design software. MSD is a unique and user-friendly lighting and set design software package, useful in developing realistic 3-D lighting simulations. Brilliant as a high quality production or sales presentation tool, MSD allows you to create realistic set and lighting design renderings using reflection, transparency, lighting, shadow and smoke.

Wizard Extreme: The ultimate in club effect lighting just got better. Stunningly brilliant reflection and wild gobo patterns have been added to one of the industry’s most popular effect lights to push out every ounce of power! Improved focus control and more efficient reflector combine with pumping new gobo designs to keep the Wizard Extreme planted firmly in the 21st Century.

Ego X4: The Martin Egolution has added DMX control with the Ego X4, a DMX controllable flower effect that projects razor sharp graphics and brilliant new gobo designs to add uniqueness to the DJ light show. This highly individual 250-watt effect houses a combined color/gobo wheel and features new radical gobo designs unlike any other effect light. Top quality projection optics combine with a precise manual focus adjustment to produce extremely sharp, detailed projections. The Ego X4 is both lightweight and highly portable. Spectacular macros are included for fast programming and demonstrations.

Mania SCX500: The Mania SCX500 is the first scanner in the Mania series. Stunningly powerful, brilliant effects are produced from separate color and gobo wheels. The SCX500 houses 15 full colors and five mixed colors working with 15 gobo patterns. A split color feature adds to the color capability. Effortlessly portable, the SCX500 is DMX controllable, and as with all Mania products is officially ETL, cETL and CE approved meaning users are assured of the fixtures’ safety and performance.

Mania EF2: The Mania EF2 is an exciting new flower effect in Martin’s popular Mania EF series. Designed for dance floors or anywhere decorative lighting is desired - parties, clubs, events, live performances, weddings - the Mania EF2 is useful as a revolving dance floor motif, funky wall projection or brilliant mid-air effect. It includes four colored patterns plus four textured glass gobos for ambient projection and as with all Mania products can operate continuously with no cool down periods.

Mania EF3: The Mania EF3 is a new and extraordinary, ever-changing midair effect featuring eight gobos (six with colored glass and two with structured glass). Endless color combinations are possible thanks to a rotating colored parabolic mirror reflector. Sound activated, the Mania EF3 has a variable focus and like all Mania products, there is no duty cycle so it can run all night long.

Mania DC3: The Mania DC3 is the latest deco effect in the Mania series. It features mind-blowing groove effects from a powerful 250-watt halogen lamp. The unique oil wheel effect is the perfect decorative complement for live shows, clubs, even private parties. Multiple spread angle options and speed and direction control of the oil wheel offer total versatility. It also includes a gobo pattern slot for special framing or gobo effects. And no duty cycle means the Mania DC3 will operate all night long – with no interruptions.

Mania PR1: The Mania PR1 is the first promotional projector in Martin’s Mania series of low-cost, high quality DJ lights. This high precision optic luminaire can herald an image, logo, decoration or message onto any wall, floor or ceiling. With a rotating, interchangeable pattern you can adjust your message to whatever the occasion. Gobo rotation speed is adjustable and brightness and clarity are exceptional. A color slot for interchangeable color filters adds to its functionality. And as with all Mania products, there is no duty cycle, meaning no cool down periods so it can run all night!

Magnum 1500: The Magnum name continues its reputation as a benchmark for top quality foggers with the new Magnum 1500, a portable yet powerful smoke machine for DJs and small clubs. Wrapped in Martin’s efficient Mania series design, the Magnum 1500 features a robust 1200-watt heater, remote control and DMX compatibility while versatile positioning options allows for horizontal or more vertical projection. MC Switch: The new plug & play MC Switch lets you power up and down six fixtures such as lights, fog machines or mirror balls, with the option of daisy chaining up to 24 units through four power boxes. The MC Switch control box connects to a power box with six channels out - allowing a maximum of 300W output for each.
