MA Lighting
lanches website

Lighting
Product News Published: 30 October 2002
As most moving light operators have already experienced, fixtures
sometimes hung and the profile in their lighting desk does not
match perfectly. This can occur due to new fixtures or fixture
software that has not yet been implemented by the desk manufacturer
or maybe the fixture profile had to be written from spec sheets
without the possibility to check with real life units.
Since the start of the grandMA series MA Lighting
has had the option of letting operators modify or even create
new fixture profiles directly from the desk, BUT as there have
been no real common place to share this, so operators across
the world might have done the same work repeatedly for the same
units.
Now MA has taken the step to open the "http://www.ma-share.net"
where users can benefit from each others effort perfecting their
libraries and in the case the desired fixture is not found,
create it themselves and then allow others to benefit from their
work.
is a rich source of files for the grandMA library, incl. gobos,
effects, 3D-layouts, etc.
From the beginning this site contains all existing
fixtures from the grandMA library plus additions from MA Lighting
distributors such as A.C.T and some others.
Be inspired and upload what ever you have and
also comment on existing fixtures if anything does not match.
Still improve the use of grandMA and make your work and the
work of others more comfortable.
