XL Video acquisition of
AV-Teknik Event Engineering AB

AV Product News Published: 2 May 2008
XL Video, the world leading video rental company, has established themselves in the Scandinavian market through the 100% acquisition of AV-Teknik Event Engineering AB.
XL Video has already offices in Germany (Hamburg, Düsseldorf), Belgium (Gent, Ostend), Great Britain (London, Birmingham) Holland (Roosendaal), France (Paris), USA (Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York) and China (Bejing). Through the acquisition of AV-Teknik, the XL Group will also get a strong position in the Swedish, Norwegian and Danish market.

AV-Teknik was founded in 1989 by Roberth Fredriksson and has since then developed to be one of the leading AV suppliers in Scandinavia within the Entertainment and Business Events.
AV-Teknik’s customers will through this acquisition have access to the world widest and largest range of equipment within LED, projectors, display systems and project management systems.

XL Video was founded in 1996 and has in a short period of time established themselves as the international leading company in areas like trade fairs, congresses, indoors- and outdoors events, concert tours and TV productions.

“XL Video is the leading company in the market today and will be a strong and competent owner of AV-Teknik. They have shown to not only follow the trends in the market but also in many cases have been the driving force in the development alongside the manufacturers. All this will give AV-Teknik’s customers access to technology and services which yet has not existed in the Scandinavian market.
XL Video has a well-built reputation in both Entertainment and Business Events so therefore I see a great potential in the establishment of XL in Scandinavia” – says Roberth Fredriksson, Managing Director of AV-Teknik.

“The purchase of AV-Teknik was the next natural step for us in our development. AV-Teknik has a good reputation internationally and is also well established in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.” – says René De Keyzer CEO of the XL Video Group.
