Meyer Sound’s M3D™ line array was honored with the
“Best Sound Reinforcement Product” award at the
premiere Producción Profesional & Producción
Audio Awards. The ceremony, which will be held annually, took
place on November 4 in conjunction with the Broadcast ‘03
conference at Madrid’s IFEMA convention center.
The award was accepted by Rafael Jimenez, general
manager of Meyer Sound Spain. “This latest award not only
recognizes the M3D’s advanced audio technology,”
says Jimenez, “but it also confirms the astonishingly
rapid acceptance that the entire M Series has enjoyed throughout
the sound reinforcement markets of southern Europe.”
This professional production awards ceremony for
the Iberian Peninsula was sponsored by Bolina Editorial, publisher
of industry-related trade magazines for the Spanish, Portuguese
and Brazilian markets.
Nominees for the awards were submitted via the
Internet by the magazines’ readers, with final award selection
made by a jury comprising a cross-section of production professionals.
More than 600 production industry professionals
attended the gala awards event, which featured live music by
saxophonist William Gibbs and the Orchestra Metrópolis.
Audio for the evening’s festivities was heard through
a Meyer Sound system provided by the Madrid office of Congres
Réntal Ibérica.
